About MyPathSocials
What is MyPathSocials?
A safe social platform for kids (5–12) and teens (13–17), with real parental oversight. No ads, no tracking, no public posts.
Is it free?
Yes. Completely free. No premium tier, no upsells.
Do I need to download an app?
No. MyPathSocials works in any web browser. Just visit findyourpath.life.
Who can join?
Kids (5–12), teens (13–17), and parents/guardians. Adults cannot join as regular users.
Is there an adult version?
No. MyPathSocials is designed exclusively for young people.
Signing up
How do I sign up?
Visit /register.php. Kids need a guardian email. Teens don't.
Why do I need a guardian email?
Kids under 13 need a parent to approve their account — it's the law (COPPA) and the right thing to do.
What if my guardian doesn't get the email?
Check spam. If it's still missing, email us at mypath@findyourpath.life with your username.
I didn't get a verification email. What do I do?
Check spam first. Then try the "forgot password" flow. If that doesn't work, email us.
Logging in
Why can't I log in?
Common reasons:
- Email not verified → check your inbox
- Guardian hasn't approved (kids only) → ask them to check their email
- Wrong password → use "Forgot password"
- Account deactivated → email us
How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot password" on the login page. We email you a reset link.
Can I change my username?
Not yet. Contact us at mypath@findyourpath.life if you need a change.
Posts and privacy
Who can see my posts?
Only other kids or teens on the platform — nobody outside. Never visible publicly, to search engines, or to anonymous visitors.
Why is my post waiting for approval?
If you're a kid (5–12), your posts go to your guardian for review first. If you're a teen, only posts with flagged content are held.
How long does approval take?
Depends on your guardian. Default auto-approve delay is 24 hours if they don't respond.
Can I delete my post?
Yes — go to your profile or the post itself, tap Edit, then Delete.
Messaging
Why can't I send a message?
Common reasons:
- You don't mutually follow each other
- Your guardian hasn't enabled DMs (kids)
- You're in a different age group
- One of you blocked the other
Why can't I type my own messages? (kids)
For safety, kids pick from a list of friendly pre-written messages. This prevents accidental sharing of personal info.
Can my guardian see my messages?
Yes, if they're linked to your account. Full transparency is part of the safety design.
Clubs
Who can join clubs?
Teens only (13–17). Kids get quizzes instead.
How many clubs can I join?
No limit. Join as many as you want.
Can I create my own club?
Yes — any teen can create a club and become its owner.
How do I invite people to my club?
Go to the club's Manage page → "Generate new invite link" → copy and share. Links expire in 7 days.
Quizzes
Who can play quizzes?
Kids (5–12) only.
How many quizzes are there?
We have 30+ quizzes across 7 categories, and new ones are added regularly.
What are badges for?
Just for fun. They show what you've achieved. No prizes — just bragging rights.
Parents
How do I link to my child?
Register at /parent-register.php using the same email your child gave as guardian email. We link automatically.
What can I see?
Their posts, comments, messages, quiz progress, and any content flagged for review.
Can I turn off specific features?
Yes — in the parent dashboard, click Settings next to any child. You can disable images, disable DMs, cap daily posts, and more.
Can I delete my child's account?
Yes. Email us at mypath@findyourpath.life from your registered email. We delete everything within 30 days.
What if I don't approve their post in time?
Default is auto-approve after 24 hours. Adjustable in their settings.
Safety and moderation
How do I report something?
Tap the flag icon on any post, comment, message, or profile. Every report is reviewed by our moderation team as quickly as possible.
How do I block someone?
Open their profile → tap Block. They can't see you or message you anymore.
What content gets removed?
Bullying, harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, personal information, impersonation, spam. See our safety page for the full list.
What happens if someone breaks the rules?
Warning → suspension → permanent ban, escalating with the severity of the violation.
Account and data
How do I change my password?
Go to Settings → Password. Or use "Forgot password" on the login page.
How do I delete my account?
Email mypath@findyourpath.life from your registered email. We delete everything within 30 days.
Do you sell my data?
No. Never. We don't run ads, and we don't share data with third parties.
Can I export my data?
Yes — email mypath@findyourpath.life. We'll send you a copy within 30 days.
